It's June? 6/8/15

Sorry this email is going to be short. But I love you still the same.

That was the fastest transfer of my mission and I can't believe it's over.

Sister Snow only has one more. And I'm glad she's spending it with me in Richmond Hill! Wooohooo! By the time she goes home we will have been companions for 7&1/2  months! Haha that's almost half of our missions.. pretty crazy..

God must know what he is doing, because we are having a lot of success in Richmond Hill. These past couple of weeks we have found a lot of amazing people! I feel really blessed to be here, teaching these people, with the best companion ever, Sister Snow.

And here is what she had to say about this week:

"The weather has been really weird, but I'm not mad. It's usually super
hot, but it's been rainy and chilly this past week. This next week
will probably be warmer.

A lot of good things have happened this week. Miracles even. And I
can't help but thank God every single day. I'll give you our top three
events.

1. We met with our investigator Renee Brackett this past week. She is
truly searching for the truth. It's awesome. She doesn't want to
commit unless she's ready to go all in. That's the kind of people
we're looking for. So we had our recent convert Deborah with us
teaching and it was awesome. While we were teaching, Renee's cousin
that lives with her walked into the house. Turns out he's a member and
was baptized in Jamaica. His name is Bancroft Biggs. And he wants to
come back to church and receive the Priesthood. Our branch really
needs Priesthood holders so that would be GREAT. Thank the heavens for
lost sheep being found.

2. This is a bit of a weird story. We received a referral for a Book
of Mormon back in April and had been unable to contact her. We started
texting her and after a month scheduled a time to go and see her and
deliver her BoM. We show up and it turns out that she's a man. He was
never a woman... But we'd been texting him smiley faces and such
because we thought we were being nice, but it was awkward so we're
giving him to the elders. Hopefully he'll meet with them.
So that referral brought us out to the boonies, but luckily it was
near a couple of potentials that we never go out to because it takes a
long bus ride and a bit of a walk to get there. We rang their apt bell
but they didn't answer. Finally someone let us in and we knocked on
their door. They let us right it! And we taught them the Restoration!
I love teaching it. They are mother and daughter. Yvonne and Arita
Williams. The daughter is like 50. So the mom is probs 70's. Arita's
sister lives in the Cayman Islands and is a member! Her husband is the
branch president over there. Isn't that cool? They like us and they're
willing to pray and read. The gospel is true and soooooooo good.

3. We helped out with a pretty cool event this past Saturday. It was
called the Global Family Reunion. Basically a big party for anyone
that wanted to come. Dr Oz was one of the speakers. Tickets costed
like $30, but we got in free because we were volunteers. There were a lot of
missionaries there and the event wouldn't have happened without us.
Familysearch.org was one of the biggest sponsors so that's cool. I got
a free T-shirt and I'm all about that life.

It's been a good week. We're going to the temple this next weekend
(hopefully) with our recent convert. She's a cutie and I'm happy that
she's going. The Payson Temple was dedicated yesterday so that's cool!
A lot of good things are happening.

Hope life is good! You're all the best :) God hears and answers prayers.

Love Sister Snow"

Sorry I couldn't write an amazing email this week, but hopefully this will suffice. I am really grateful to be out here in New York serving the Lord. It's a rare opportunity to be living the law of consecration in full.

To those that may be struggling because of the accident this past week, my heart goes out to. I know that must be extremely difficult. I know that our loses will be made right. I'm grateful for the knowledge that we are eternal beings and that our life on earth is short, but it's not an end.

I love the gospel, and I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

Love always, Sister Sammy Tenney
